Mechanism of Action
Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) is a herbal extract, which is high in iso?avones (natural plant oestrogens). Red Clover iso?avones mimic the action of oestrogens and are widely used by women to maintain their health and vitality especially during the time of menopause. Red Clover contains 4 key iso?avones (Genistein, Daidzein, Biochanin A and Formonoetin) that help balance female hormones by mimicking the e?ects of oestrogens in the body, which in turn help support women during the menopause. Unlike traditional hormone therapy (HRT), these natural plant oestrogens prefer to bond with beta oestrogens receptors and show no a?nity to bond with alpha oestrogens receptors.
