Cetalkonium Chloride + Choline Salicylate oral prep

Mouth ulcers, Cold sores, Denture sores, Gum swelling, Apthous ulcer

Adult: Oral Gel Apply 1/2 inch of gel on the sore area. Repeat every 3 hours or as directed.

Children <12 years: Safety and Efficacy not established.

Haemophilia, haemorrhagic disorders, gout, history of hypersensitivity to salicylates. Severe renal or hepatic impairment; childn <12 yrs. Pregnancy and lactation.

Peptic ulcers, errosive gastritis; asthma, allergic disorders; renal and hepatic impairment; dehydrated patients;

Not Classi Pregnancy: There is clinical evidence of the safety of salicylates in pregnancy, but they may prolong bleeding and contribute to maternal and neonatal bleeding, and are best avoided at term. Breast-feeding: Salicylates are excreted at low concentrations in breast milk, and may adversely affect the infant in very rare cases. Fertility: There is no information on the effects of topical oral choline salicylate and fertility.

Increased toxicity of warfarin. Antacids may reduce salicylate effects. Increased risk of GI bleeding when used with corticosteroids.

Hypersensitivity reactions, skin eruptions, Paroxysmal bronchospasm; mild chronic salicylate intoxication.

Choline salicylate alleviates pain by inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and reduce fever by acting on the hypothalamus heat-regulating center. It also blocks the generation of impulses.
