Bilberry extract
Indications
Retinopathy (hypertensive and diabetic), Night blindness, Cataracts, Macular degeneration, Retinitis pigmentosa and Hemorrhagic retinopathy.
Adult Dose
One 160 mg capsule should be taken 2 - 3 times daily or as per the instruction of a physician.
Contra Indications
There is no evidence available on contraindication but it may happen in patients who are hypersensitive to any of its ingredients.

Pregnancy-Lactation
The safety of Bilberry extract in pregnancy has not been established. Therefore, it should be used during pregnancy only under the supervision of a physician.
Interactions
None known. Very high doses (more than 170 mg anthocyanins daily for 30 - 60 days) may interact with warfarin or other anti-platelet drugs.
