Jatamansi contains several bioactive compounds including: Jatamansone, Nardol, Borneol, Linalool, Nardostachin, Quercetin, Kaempferol, Inulin, Gallic acid etc. Jatamansone: Helps normalize gastric secretions & supports gut-brain signaling, improving appetite. It calms psychosomatic factors that often underlie anorexia such as anxiety or depression. It exhibits antispasmodic & carminative properties, relieving flatulence & discomfort. It enhances gastric motility & secretion of digestive enzymes. Jatamansone is a potent CNS depressant with sedative and tranquilizing effects.
