Indications
1. Effective for Dandraff treatment
2. Effective for the treatment of Seborrhoeic dermatitis & tinea versicolor
3. Anti-fungal agent that relieves itching, flaking & scaling
Adult Dose
Two times weekly for 1st 2 weeks. Then once weekly for 2-3 weeks. Leave on 5 mins & rinse with water.

No known contra-indication.
Pregnancy-Lactation
This should be given to pregnant & lactating mothers as per recommendation of physician.

Well tolerated in recommended dose.
Mechanism of Action
Selenium disulfide acts as an antifungal and keratolytic agent. Selenium sulfide interferes with hydrogen bond formation in the keratin and thus is keratolytic. It is keratoplastic by depressing epidermal cell turnover rate. Selenium sulfide is fungicidal at higher concentrations.
